Zinc Carnosine and Mastic Gum Capsules - Stomach Lining and Gut Barrier Support

Description

A Four Part Formula

Most gut products do one thing. This one combines four compounds that are commonly discussed together in the context of stomach lining and mucosal support:

  • Zinc L-Carnosine - a chelated compound of zinc and the dipeptide carnosine, the most researched of the four
  • Mastic Gum - a resin with a long history of traditional use
  • DGL Licorice - deglycyrrhizinated licorice, processed to remove glycyrrhizin
  • L-Glutamine - an amino acid and a primary fuel source for cells lining the intestine

Who This Is For

People whose digestion is regularly challenged by what they eat and drink - heavy meals, spicy food, a lot of coffee, or eating late at night. It is formulated for everyday digestive comfort rather than as a reaction to a single episode.

Daily Use

Two capsules daily. Each bottle holds 120 capsules, a full 60 day supply, which matters because gut focused formulas are usually judged over weeks rather than days.

When to See a Doctor

Persistent or severe digestive symptoms are not a supplement question. See a healthcare provider.

What trials found for the gastric lining

Meta-analysis · 3 RCTs · 396 participants

Zinc L-carnosine was developed in Japan as a prescription mucosal-protective agent, which is unusual for a supplement ingredient. Pooled across three randomized trials with 396 participants, adding it to standard therapy nearly doubled the odds of Helicobacter pylori eradication (OR 2.01; 95% CI, 1.27–3.21; P = 0.003), while adverse events stayed statistically indistinguishable from standard therapy alone.

Randomized trial · 148 participants · 3 weeks

The mastic component was tested in the same setting — upper-GI discomfort rather than the lab. In 148 adults meeting Rome II criteria for functional dyspepsia, three weeks of 350 mg Chios mastic gum three times daily reduced symptom scores to 14.78 versus 19.96 with placebo (P < 0.05); stomach pain, heartburn and dull upper-abdominal ache all improved significantly.

Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask before their first order

What is zinc L-carnosine?
Zinc L-carnosine is a chelated compound in which zinc is bound to the dipeptide L-carnosine. It was developed in Japan and has been studied for its affinity for the gastric mucosa - the lining of the stomach.
What does gut lining support mean here?
It refers to maintaining the integrity of the mucosal barrier in the stomach and intestinal wall. This formula combines zinc L-carnosine with mastic gum, DGL licorice and L-glutamine for that purpose.
What is mastic gum?
Mastic gum is a resin from the Pistacia lentiscus tree, used traditionally in Mediterranean cultures for stomach comfort. It is included here alongside zinc carnosine rather than in place of it.
Why DGL licorice instead of regular licorice?
DGL stands for deglycyrrhizinated licorice - the glycyrrhizin compound has been removed. This is the form used when licorice is taken regularly for stomach comfort.
What is L-glutamine doing in the formula?
L-glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body and a primary fuel source for the cells lining the intestine. It is included to complement the other three ingredients.
How many capsules, and for how long?
Two capsules daily. Each bottle contains 120 capsules - a full 60-day supply.
Should I take it with food?
Zinc carnosine is usually taken before meals so it reaches the stomach lining directly. Follow the directions on the label; if you experience any discomfort, taking it with a small amount of food is reasonable.
Is this product intended for a medical condition?
No. This is a dietary supplement intended to support normal digestive function. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Speak with a healthcare professional about any persistent digestive symptoms.
